It was pretty surprising to see Shaiiko not get the same number of frags compared to his other games, but the rest of BDS was still on point. Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu stepped up for BDS on round eight as he managed to get a triple kill, which prevented V.P from pushing into site. The first half finished with a 3-3 scoreline, which is pretty good for BDS considering the team is pretty weak on Villa. However, this time BDS countered the setup from V.P by bringing in Amaru, going up the hatch, and getting the plant down in a 5v5 situation. During the previous match between V.P and BDS, V.P used an impressive strategy on Dining, which BDS was unable to counter. Round five was the best example of coordination. But BDS was able to counter the defensive setups by just pushing the opposite side from where the shields were placed. V.P’s defensive setup on Trophy/Statue consisted of three shields to soak up BDS’s utility. This first pick by Rask allowed V.P to take the first round without much hesitation. Alan “Rask” Ali from V.P started out with an amazing first pick on round one, as he managed to get the entry fragger of BDS, which made it much harder for BDS to take control of the map. The first map was played on Villa, which is a defender-sided map. The matchup between BDS Esports and Virtus.Pro was the most exciting match of the lower bracket finals. We got to see a variety of maps in play, teaching us new strategies that can be implemented into our own games. The European Mini Major had some really exciting matches to watch this week, with all the matches played as a best of three format. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the matches have been held online. Rainbow Six Siege's European Mini Major Stage 2 concluded its lower brackets finals, and the results are here. ![]()
